145-Jurisdiction and Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters (Belgium v. Switzerland)
On December 21st, 2009, Belgium filed an application instituting proceedings against Switzerland before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in relation with a dispute concerning the application and interpretation of the Lugano Convention of September 16th, 1988 on jurisdiction and the enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters. However by letter dated March 21st, 2011, the agent of Belgium informed the ICJ wished to withdraw its application. As Switzerland raised no objection, the case was struck of the List by an order dated April 5th, 2011.
